What Is Teeth Bleaching?
A cosmetic procedure is bleaching or teeth whitening. When teeth are bleached, discolored and pigmented particles that have affected the color of teeth over time—and occasionally even discolored genetic teeth—are eliminated. The teeth become brighter and more attractive.
A dentist performing North York teeth whitening service states that because teeth bleaching or whitening demands high precision, the dentist must be specially trained and have the necessary skills to provide the patient with a lovely smile design. So that the patient has no problems; however, bleaching is less hazardous than laminate or composite, which may give the patient cause for concern about potential tooth enamel problems.
For instance, a shield is applied to the gums to shield them against hydrogen peroxide damage or other forms of harm. Specialized radiation equipment irradiates the teeth after it has been applied to the teeth at the proper concentration and exposure period.
How Long Do the Teeth Stay White After Bleaching, or What Are the Cares After Bleaching?
This depends on the following factors:
- The type of teeth
- Diet
- Observance of hygiene and teeth
- Type, material, quality, and brand of bleaching material
Types of Bleaching
Bleaching at home
First, the dentist makes a mold of the upper and lower teeth, and in the next session, he delivers a pair of transparent trays to the patient. Each tray has spaces on which the bleaching agent is placed.
First, we should brush the teeth thoroughly, clean the teeth with dental floss, put a drop of the gel given by the doctor on the cavities on the tray, and then place the tray on the tooth. We clean the bleaching gel with a dry toothbrush if there is excess. The whitening of the gums is normal at this stage, and it takes 5 to 10 minutes. We only put Terry on the tooth for 15 minutes; it doesn’t have an effect more than that.
After this, we wash it with cold water and put it in a dry place. To get a better result from the whitening gel, we do this twice, one at the beginning of the day and the other at the end of the night before going to bed.
Bleaching in the office:
The dentist applies a protective substance and often removes all grooves surrounding the teeth during the in-office tooth whitening procedure. After applying high-concentration whitening agents to the teeth, light rays are used to harden the protective substance. It doesn’t matter what method is used to activate this powerful substance—sometimes it’s chemical, other times it’s light, and other times it’s heat.
Compared to the bleaching procedure at home, this method is a little more expensive. Even in the office, laser bleaching is an option; however, the laser’s wavelength must be between 830 and 910 when the whitening chemical is applied to the teeth in the proper concentration. To activate the substance within the gel, we insert the nanoscale. After bleaching, brushing is the best way to extend its lifespan, and it’s preferable to do this repeatedly.
